You can technically take time off when you run a creative business. The harder part is actually switching off.
When you're a freelancer, studio founder or small creative team, you're often the person making the decisions, directing the work, managing clients and keeping everything moving. So stepping away can feel like taking the infrastructure with you.
But creative work needs space. Time away gives you perspective, rest and room to come back with fresh eyes. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your creative business is step away from it.
The problem is making sure there is somewhere for the responsibility to go while you're gone.
That's where temporary creative cover can help. Someone experienced can step into the business, work with your existing systems and team, oversee projects, make agreed creative decisions and keep things moving while you properly switch off.
The goal isn't to replace you. It's to give you enough space to actually leave.
Go somewhere. Sleep. Swim. Read a book. Make something for no reason. Come back and see what looks different.
Your business will still be there. It just doesn't need to come on holiday with you.
And if you're going away: go see some sunrises.
